Unsolved Crimes
The RCMP is seeking additional information about these unsolved crimes. Anyone with information is urged to call the Merritt RCMP at 250-378-4262 or the Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers does not use any form of caller identification, tracing, or tracking. You remain completely anonymous. After submitting a tip you will be provided a unique code to use when checking the status of your tip or picking up your reward.
In the early morning hours of December 2, 2023 a speed sign was stolen from the 2300 block of Coldwater Ave in Merritt.

On May 10th, 2024, at approximately 1:45 p.m., frontline RCMP officers in Merritt, BC, responded to a robbery which occurred minutes prior at 2801 Clapperton Avenue.
Description of suspect:
Caucasian male;
5’8” to 5’9” feet tall;
Large tattoo on right arm (possibly a wave pattern);
Facial hair;
Description of vehicle:
Small 2-door Fiat
“The risk to the public remains unknown at this time, however it appears targeted towards carrying out a robbery, and not the general public.” explains Cpl. Grandy.
